The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) www.flyingdoctor.org.au is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, our Queensland section delivers extensive primary health care and 24-hour aeromedical emergency service, from nine strategic bases to those who live, work and travel throughout the State.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity now exists for an ICT Senior Systems and Network Analyst to join our team. This is a full-time position based at 5-7 Lobelia Circle, Brisbane International Airport, with an occasional requirement to respond after hours and travel to RFDS Qld locations from time to time.

The ICT Senior Systems and Network Analyst will provide support to the ICT Operations Manager in the management of ICT infrastructure and information systems, ensuring delivery of ICT services and systems, and supporting a sustainable ICT environment.

Your day-to-day duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assisting in the design of new systems, the planning and managing of ICT changes and roll-outs, and provide onsite and remote incident management and support to staff and users;
  • Managing technologies such as Windows services, cloud servers, Office 365, Active Directory, Router, Switches, Firewalls, Security Solutions, business information systems and other ICT systems and networks, in conjunction with the internal ICT team, Managed Service Providers and specialised support vendors;
  • Working as part of an internal ICT Team managing projects, job priorities, requests, incidents and change, liaising with third party vendors, and ensuing SLAs are met.

Who are we looking for?

Ideally you would have a Microsoft MCSE certification, and be a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)hold an ITIL Foundation Certificate and have extensive experience in ICT operations and/or support functions.

This position requires someone who is a real all-rounder. You will have exceptional technical knowledge of hardware and software solutions and how they are applied to business processes, and will have experience in networking and firewall technologies, cloud technologies and with rollouts, deployments and scripting (PowerShell).

To be considered for this role you would have qualifications and/or experience across both Windows server systems and networks, however as long as you are strong in either one of these areas and willing to up-skill in the other you may be deemed suitable for this position.

Individuals who have worked in a large and/or regulated organisation (ie government, health services, aviation, banking etc), are comfortable working in ITIL environments and understand the importance of documentation and best practice, would be well suited to this role!
